The design brief was to build a bach that felt like a home. A real beach feel has been created with extensive use of timbers. The outside is clad with dark stained ply and feature Corten steel panels, which add a weathered rustic colour. Rough sawn Lawson Cypress has been used for the pergola. The landscaping adds to the holiday charm, attractive grasses and palms offer easy maintenance and durability.

Inside, more use of plywood for the kitchen cabinetry, stairs and flooring throughout. The home achieves a relaxed family environment with modern and contemporary design elements.
